Culture Symposium

Culture is symbolic. People live in a world of symbols: words, objects, food, action—all have meanings attached. Members in a society share those symbols, which may have a profound impact on behavior. But the meaning and importance of one's society symbols may not be obvious to members of other groups. The Culture Symposium will focus on three areas to emphasize culture in practice: • Bridge the gap — knowing and doing • Open your culture mind — challenge how you think • Become knowledgeable — cross-cultural coaching
